The Alexander Technique Meditation Skills Course now offered in the morning – a course that makes your meditation more effective and enjoyable!

You may be practising any form of meditation, but there are certain basic skills that are common to most of them. The ability to sit quietly for longer periods of time. The ability to quieten your mind, and increase your awareness.

It’s usually taken for granted that you will be comfortable with these skills, but often, that’s not the case. You might be sitting to meditate, but actually struggling with your sitting, or with getting your mind quiet. You might be getting up from your meditation practice feeling that it wasn’t quite as effective as you would have liked it to be.

The Meditation Skills Course helps you to address these fundamental issues so that you get greater ease and benefit in your meditation practice.

This is a 15 lesson course, with 2 lessons a week.

10 lessons are devoted to establishing the basic principles and procedures – Functional Body Awareness, Active Sitting, Restful Standing, Inhibition and Direction, and Active Rest and Easy Movement.

The remaining 5 lessons are practical awareness sessions where you’ll get the chance to apply what you have learnt, to your meditation practice. Sharing problems and observations with the group also helps everyone work out better solutions.
